got up this morning, had my tea then went out to attack the snow that had gathered overnight on the sidewalks and the driveway.  Got that shoveled off and got dressed and went to the first of two dr. appts in wichita.  The roads were fairly clear -- a miracle there, got in to see the ortho doc for his first appt. (early as everyone else was late) -- two steroid shots one in each shoulder for suspected bursitis.  Had some time to kill so i went up to target store and got my split peas for soup.  back to the eye doc and he put me through the works -- both eyes dilated and thoroughly checked, then off for some weird pictures of my retina and some sort of other test to measure retina thickness.  made my way home - not being able to see the speedometer -- but people were passing me, so guess i was within limits.  Think i'll take a nap!!
 
Oh my eye doc, just got a big award for his research into the eye and diabetes -- I guess he's one of the leading experts in the field.  He said by sometime this coming year over a million people will keep their vision because of his research.  (He's the "dummy" that graduated from Cornell, Duke and Harvard -- three of our Ivy League Schools.

At least the intereaction with both doctors seems pretty positive. Gill

My turn with the eye doctor tomorrow afternoon.  How on earth do you drive after having the drops?  We are not allowed to here, the nurse asks how you are getting home before she puts them in.
